So it's been what? 2 weeks since the last 40k funny? Yeah I'm slacking and for good reason. I started an over nights job to make more money and it's really tossed my schedule upside down like a salad. Granted I also started playing Borderlands (awesome game) and also went back to Team Fortress 2 (also awesome) and so have been drowning myself in first person shooter games in my off time from work.

That isn't all I've been doing though, after reading through an interesting book about making web comics, I decided its about time to try launching a new comic series with an original cast. (Don't worry, 40K Funnies will continue to be posted up here for your enjoyment.) I just want to try my hand at something that I can actually call my own. That being said, this past two weeks has also seen a lot of concept work into what this new comic would look like, what it'd be about and things like that. So we'll see how that turns out in the weeks to come because I'd really like to also try my hand at setting up a web site and having never done it before.. it'll be an interesting experience.

On a different note, I'm going back to an old idea of mine to take an hour each day and just sketch random people from magazines. Why? Because not being in school any more with models every week to work from has stopped me from practicing human anatomy and as far as I'm concerned, that's no good! I know for a fact working from photographs is NOT the best way to practice but it'll at least keep me drawing and that's the important thing for now.

For anyone interested, I'll be posting these sketches in my scrap book on a daily basis, so far there are 4 female sketches that I did last night from an FHM magazine. Leave me some comments and tell me what you think!
